Best Heavy Metal Bands Of All Time!!!!

Best Heavy Metal Bands Of All Time!!!!

We have all seen those headbangers and metalheads, the diehard fans of heavy metal music whose heads sway to the beat of the music. Heavy metal is actually a form of rock music. It started during the late 60s and early 70s with bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. While it can trace its origins from the blues and psychedelic rock, heavy metal is characterized by a thick sound, loud distortion, extended guitar riffs and thumping beats. The lyrics and performance style usually celebrate masculinity and even border on machismo.

Heavy metal has evolved over the years. Punk rock has been introduced and some bands have totally discarded the influence of the blues. Some bands have adopted a more commercial sound to enable them to attract a more mainstream audience. Others have used a more aggressive style. #10. E-126-type wind turbines

In modern era optimization of energy is one of the most important issue. Well if its electrical energy then install one of these E-126 wind turbines and one can forget about shortage. The E-126 is the world largest wind turbine. One of these turbines can support up to 1776 American houses. That almost 11,256 kWh per year per house. It is the upgraded version of E-112 which was the former largest wind turbine and it is capable of produce 6+ MW of electricity per year. The design of rotors gives better efficiency. Via: realitypod.com

#9. Big Bud

Tractors are amongst the most important tools for a farmer. They help in ploughing and bigger the size of Plough the quicker the job is done and that mean more money for the farmer.  Big Bud 747 was the largest tractor in the world. It was built by Ron Harmonn’s crew of the Northern Manufacturing Company in Montana in 1977 for deep plowing on farms. The tractor weighs over 45 tons. Some companies have built even bigger tractors. Draglines are used for mining purposed and also the small sized versions are used by civil engineers all over the world. The machine has a bucket suspended by a boom (a truss like structure) and the bucket once filled with material is manoeuvred and the material is taken to desired place. The Big Kate was manufactured in 1971 and is still working today. Draglines are amongst the largest machine built by man. She performs her duty with no worries, the massive size makes her able to carry much in no time thus becoming very time and cost efficient machine. Via: realitypod.com

#7. NASA Crawler Transporter

NASA is one of the largest companies working in the world and her stash is full of wonderful toys that amazes the world. They needed their shuttles to be transported from one point to another and for this purpose NASA unleashed one of her biggest toys ever “The Crawler Transporter”. Crawler transporters are a two tracked vehicles that transport spacecraft from NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to Launch Complex 39. They were originally used to transport the Saturn IB and Saturn V rockets during the Apollo, Skylab and Apollo–Soyuz programs but now they are used to transport the Space Shuttle. They will carry the Ares I and Ares V rockets for the constellation program too. The crawler transporters carry vehicles on the Mobile Launcher Platform, and after each launch return to the pad to take the platform back to the VAB. Via: realitypod.com

#6. D-575A-3 of Komatsu

The bigger the better is a very common phrase and it fits well when it comes to bull-dozing. The bigger, more earthly material they can shoved around. Watching a bull dozer work is not a special sight but it becomes one if the D-575A-3 is working on the site. It the worlds biggest and most powerful (production) bulldozer. It is reliable, equipped with advanced technology, advance hydraulic system, power train, frame thus making it quiet a treat. The ripper’s depth can be set manually, it can tear up solid rock and concrete with ease. It is designed for some serious rubble moving. Via: realitypod.com

#5. Herrenknecht EPB Shield S-300

Tunneling is one the most difficult construction job. The harsh conditions while working inside really make a difference. Temperature is high, lack of oxygen and of course the worker has to put in a whole lot effort to even do a little. But all this use to happen in past. Herrenknecht EPB Shield S-300 is a mega tunnel boring machine built to excavate a road tunnel in Madrid in 2005.  It is the biggest tunnel excavating machine ever built. Not only it churches stones and bedrock it’s excavating but it also pulverizes everything to pebbles and ships it to the rear by a huge conveyer belt. It only requires a few operators and does the job much faster than the traditional way. Via: realitypod.com

#4. Claw (Terex RH400)

People used shovels to excavate and it took them a lot of time. Excavation is a part of almost every construction project and “The Claw” does this job without sweating. Terex RH400 is the worlds largest hydraulic shovel. It has the working ability of scooping up about 9900 tons of material ever hour which is a world record for any vehicle in its class. Hydraulic system of this machine holds 3400 Gallons of fluid, and because it can work in extreme conditions there are several devices to pre-heat the engine oil. There is a 1000 liter capacity pump holding grease for the regular automatic joint greasing. Too much friction on can damage the machine.

The shovel can hold 85 tons of material in a single scoop and its own weight is 80 tons and the hydraulic arm that lifts the combined weight of 165 tons is held in by a strong metal pin, the metal pin weighs a mere 3 tons. It only takes between 3 to 5 scoops to fill up 240 to 400 ton mining trucks. Via: realitypod.com

Ladies and gentlemen meet bagger 288, the worlds largest digging machine. Its shear size is unimaginable. This thing took digging to a whole new level. It was built by the German company Krupp for the energy and mining firm Rheinbraun. The coal excavated by this beast currently in one day fills 2400 coal wagons. In February 2001, the Bagger had completely exposed the coal source at the Tagebau Hambach mine and was no longer needed there. In three weeks it made a 22 kilometer (14 mile) trip to the Garzweiler mine traveling across Autobahn 61, a railroad line, and several roads. The move cost nearly 150 million and required a team of seventy workers. It can excavate a football field 98 ft deep in a day. Via: realitypod.com

Of all the Cobra variants the 427 Semi/Competition or S/C is the most desirable series. Built from Shelby’s competition production line, these were purposeful race-cars that were prepared at the last minute for the road.

The story of the Cobra begins as early as 1959 when Carol Shelby raced for Aston Martin, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Along the way he probably took notice of a well performing AC Ace that would become a foundation for his next venture.

After quitting racing, he return to America to build his own sportscar, turning to Charles Hurlock of AC Cars to supply a chassis and body that was suitable for the new 260 cubic inch Ford V8. After considerable racing success, Ford provided the even larger 427 FE engine. By 1965, chief engineer Ken Miles wanted to fit thengine to win SCCA’s A Production Class and stay ahead of the Corvette Grand Sport.
