[Via:musclevehicles.com]Peer over the flawlessly straight panels and realize W1 white is the perfect blank canvas for Dodge’s finest curves.  Massaged until they glowed every panel shows the quality and thoroughness for which Restorations by Julius is known throughout the Mopar community.  Up front you’ll find a restored grille held in place by all of the proper and 500-specific brackets.  Move over the mint fenders, super clean doors and arrow straight quarters to wind up at the signature Charger taillights.  Move over the greenhouse with excellent glass and highly polished trim to the 500-specific rear window plug and original decklid and you’ll see nothing was overlooked.  Painted steel wheels with dog dish center caps and new Firestone Wide Ovals and the red bumblebee stripe finish off the clean and businesslike exterior.  There are two known 440 cars in this color combination, too, but the Hemi up front changes desirability drastically.Continue Reading the article and click on Next

[Via:musclevehicles.com]Documentation is critical to the rarest cars and this one isn’t lacking–both its original fender tag and broadcast sheet are here.  Highlights include the A11 Aero package, A32 Super Performance Axle Package with the 4.10 Dana rear, W1 White paint, C6R red vinyl buckets, B41/B51 power disc brakes, W25 rocker moldings and the S81 sports woodgrain steering wheel.  Other than a tick tock tach in place of the factory clock this 500 was restored by the numbers.


Open the properly plated gray phosphate hood latches and examine the engine compartment carefully.  With the 4.10’s out back and a minimum of creature comforts it’s no wonder the engine shown here is a properly dated replacement rather than the original mill.  The proper 4619S and 4621S carbs are on the original intake manifold while an original dual point distributor is properly in place.  The rebuilt 426 sports all new parts on the inside and fresh, even paint outside–this is a show car, after all.  The rechromed air cleaner is up top, a correct 054 radiator is up front with an original transmission cooler and correct fasteners are everywhere.  Make no mistake about the car’s show credentials, though–this car’s still all “ate up with motor,” as the circle track guys like to say.Continue Reading the article and click on Next

Throughout the 60s, Dodge was the undisputed American master of limited-production runs and overpowered, small batch variants. This one may be the Holy Grail. The batteries we use in dozens of gadgets every day have stayed more or less the same for many years, but that doesn’t mean designers aren’t dreaming up innovative and sometimes perplexing new versions. From human-powered rechargeable alkaline batteries to nuclear batteries the size of a penny, these 13 designs seek out new energy sources in small packages.

Wouldn’t it be nice if, when  the batteries in your gadget die on the go, you could just crank them back up? This battery concept by Qian Jiang has a built-in crank and a light indicator that turns green when you’ve got enough power.

Just spin this cell phone battery around your finger – um – 130 times, and you’ll have enough power to chat for hours. This unusual concept by Song Teaho and Hyejin Lee gives fidgeters something productive to do with their hands and eliminates the need for chargers and wires.

Get your exercise and power your gadgets at the same time with anenergy-harvesting jump rope designed by Jooyong Kim and Sungkyung Kim. Rechargeable batteries are placed inside the jump rope’s handles; as you jump, the display tells you how many revolutions you’ve competed, how many calories you’ve burned and how much charge you’ve produced for the batteries.

This design is purely conceptual – with no details worked out as to how it would actually work – but it’s interesting nonetheless. Mac Funamizu imagines batteries that would make it physically clear when they’re out of juice by growing thinner as they wear down. One glance tells you how much longer you’ve got before you need to recharge.

Providing an ultra-concentrated power density, the secret to this radioisotope battery is a liquid semiconductor. These batteries are used in underwater systems, pacemakers and space satellites.

Plug the batteries into your computer to charge them up and then, if you’re caught with a dead iPod or cell phone, just hook it up to the battery for a quick fix.

Designed by Qian Jiang and Yiying Wu, the IF battery ensures that you’re never without battery power as long as there’s an outlet around. Of course, the downside is you can only charge one battery at a time when a charger can take on four or more.

Don’t you hate when you buy a new gadget and realize you don’t have the right size batteries on hand? The AtoD battery concept by Pyeong Joo Goh, Jong Seung Choi & Ji Soo Hong aims to eliminate that problem in a rather strange and surprising way: it’s made of memory foam, so it can squeeze into any battery slot. Of course, you’ve probably already realized there’s a problem with this concept: there are different sized batteries for a reason, and this nickel hydroxide battery, with the capacity of a AA, isn’t going to cut it for devices that need a D.

Make your own decorative battery-light in the shape of a flower with this tutorial by Madaeon on Instructables. The battery takes the lemon-power concept, which normally requires about 3-4 lemons to illuminate an LED bulb, and makes it more powerful. The design requires just a few drops of lemon juice to light up a 3.5V white LED for at least an hour.

The Vibration-Powered Generating Battery fits in any standard AA slot and is rechargeable, but you never have to put it in a charger. Just shake it up, and it’ll regain its power. Developed by printer/sewing machine manufacturer Brother, these batteries are the gadget-powering equivalent of the Shake Weight.

Classic Dream Cars : Dodge Charger

Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger is a U.S. car manufacturer prepared by the Dodge division of Chrysler. There are different Dodge vehicles were on three different platforms, with the Charger nameplate. The name is generally a performance model in the Dodge area, but thinks it has an engine, a sedan and a personal luxury coupe equipped.


The three main iterations of the Dodge Charger built a muscle car produced from 1966 to 1978, a small car from 1983 to 1987 and now sports sedan since 2006.


The name was also on a 1999 concept car that differed substantially from those supplied Charger eventually placed into production for model year 2006. A similar name was used to truck Ramcharger vehicle.


Classic Dream Cars Dodge Charger


The entire B-body lineup for 1968 has been redesigned and the charger was further distinguished from the Dodge Coronet models. Designer Richard Sias developed double-diamond-Cola bottle with the profile of curves around the front fenders and rear windows. Front and rear plate was designed by Harvey J. Winn. The back of a “kick” sees spoiler, inspired by the Group 7 race cars. On the roof of a “flying buttress” was added to the rear window area a look-alike of the 1966-67 Pontiac GTO it. The charger kept his full-length hidden headlight grille, but the fully rotating electric headlights had a simple vacuum cover was replaced. The full length taillights were gone. Instead, two round taillights were taken in the direction of Vice President of Styling, Elwood P. Angel. Dual scallops to the doors and hood to help, added the new lines Swoopy accent. The newly reskinned “semi-fastback” design made “offers perhaps the best-looking Charger ever.”


Inside the interior has almost nothing to do with the first generation brothers. The four bucket seats were gone, which has remained the same as the ’67 console. The tachometer was now optional instead of standard, the trunk and grille medallions were gone, the carpet in the trunk was gone, replaced by a vinyl mat flip not the rear seats forward and the electroluminescent meters in favor of a conventional design disappeared .


Dodge Charger


The standard engine was the 318 cu in (5.2 L) 2BBL middle of the year had a 225 cu (3.7 L) Slant Six available. 383-2 and 383-4, which remained unchanged. Dodge Charger


The 1969 model year brought some changes. Appearance changes include a new grille with a center divider and new longitudinal taillights both designed by Harvey J. Winn. A new trim line called the Special Edition (SE) recorded. This can either by itself or packaged with the R / T and thus an R / T SE. The SE has leather inserts on front seats only chrome rocker moldings and a wood grain steering wheel wood grain inserts on the instrument panel. A sunroof was added to the options list, and saw only sold 260 units. The bumblebee stripes again as well, but were slightly modified. Instead of four stripes now a huge stripe framed by two smaller stripes. In the middle of the stripe an R / T cutout was placed. The Charger 500 was tested for the production, got the green light and was one of the three models introduced in September 1968. The Charger 500 was the standard 440 Magnum, but the work of literature claims that the 426 Hemi was standard. The Charger 500 Torque Flite was the same standard equipment as standard R / T.
