Man vs. Girls

Lady: Do you smoke?pMdZ7

Man: Yes

Lady: How many packs a day?

Man: 3 packs

Lady: How much per pack

Man: £10.00

Lady: And how long have you been smoking?

Man: 15 years

Lady: So 1 pack cost £10.00 and you have 3 packs a day which puts your spending each month at £900. In one year, it would be

£10,800 correct?

Man: Correct

Lady: If in 1 year you spend £10,800 not accounting for inflation, the past 15 years puts your spending at £162,000 correct?

Man: Correct

Lady: Do you know that if you hadn’t smoked, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after

accounting for compound interest for the past 15 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Man: Do you smoke?

Lady: No

Man: Where’s your f.cking Ferrari then?

When it comes to the bling and jazz in gizmos, audio lovers take their headphones seriously. One brand which pioneers the idea of making expensive headphones, and giving them unique designs, is Dr Dre, who has been on the forefront of shopping list of rappers like Kanye West and Eminem. Their latest offering is the 18K yellow gold and black diamond studded ‘Monster’ headphones, which will set back its buyers by $30,000. Obviously creepier than ever before, this headphone will be sporting a diamond studded black spider on both the ear pieces.

Dr Dre headphones collaborated with the Korean artist Sally John and Pure Monster Sound technology to create these headphones. Noted audio engineer and CEO of Monster Audio, Noel Lee was the reason for the fine tuning of the device, in order to enable it turn out to as close to perfection as possible. The precious fabrication, which will perhaps give the product more attention than anything else, is a 18K yellow gold shell along with the 5.56 carat worth black diamond’s which make the spider on the earpieces. Seems like a perfect choice for Lady Gaga!

It was perhaps very aptly said by Noel Lee, that “The creation of the Diamond Tears was truly a labor of love for us, and being able to work with such a talented, ahead-of-the-curve designer as Sally to craft such a special, museum-quality work of art was really the icing on the cake”.

Word has it that over 100 hours of labor go into creating each of these $30,000 Diamond Tears headphones. Seems like the gold carving and spider diamonds were really worked upon with precision. For those who prefer a minimalistic yet stylish version of the headphone, there is also the Rose gold edition available in a limited edition of just 5 pairs. However, how much will the lucky buyers pay for each of these 5 pairs, remains to be seen.
